Club Fitting for Junior Golfers.

Along with the increased interest in junior golf has come a corresponding interest by golf club companies to meet the needs of so many young players. Parents who want to get their children started off on the right foot will find that their children are much more likely to have a positive, confidence building introduction to the game if their golf clubs are correctly fit.

In general, kids' clubs will be shorter and lighter than adult clubs. The kid's club shafts will be more flexible, and the clubfaces will have more loft. An adult club that has simply been cut down and regripped will be far too heavy and far too stiff for kids, and may lead to poor swing habits. The use of cut down clubs should therefore be discouraged. It is better to have a few clubs that are well fit than an entire set of cut down clubs that are too heavy.

Let's take a closer look at club fitting for junior golfers.
