Asking for Advice on Club Selection

In a Stroke Play Tournament...

Phil asked his opponent what club he just used to tee off with on the par three hole. This is not legal. Phil will get a two stroke penalty for this. Phil could have gone over and looked in his opponents bag to determine which club he had hit, but Phil is not allowed to ask his opponent about club selection. Note that Phil could ask an opponent what the yardage number was on a marker on the ground near his opponent. Phil could also ask his opponent about advice on the rules of golf.
