Failure to adhere to
this policy will result in a two-stroke penalty.
Members that do not wear appropriate attire will not be

Members that do not
wear appropriate attire will not be allowed to compete in the subject

"Appropriate Attire"

Use of Distance-Measuring Devices
The SAJGA Board of Directors voted to allow the immediate use of distance-measuring devices in all SAJGA tournaments. The device must be approved by the committee before a player can use it in an event. The main reason for allowing these devices is to improve Pace of Play.
The following Local Rule will be in effect for the remainder of the SAJGA season:
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If during a stipulated round a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designated to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.) the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.

Welcome
The
Southern Arizona Junior Golf Association is a 501 (c) 3 organization with
approximately 300 members, ages 6 -17. We stress sportsmanship, rules and
etiquette, and competition through weekly practices, group lessons, clinics, and
tournaments. We hold tournaments approximately once a month on golf courses
throughout southern Arizona.
Mission Statement
The SAJGA is addressing a definite need for the youth of our community by providing a wholesome program that builds self-esteem and confidence.
The game of golf teaches and requires discipline, honesty, etiquette, and mental toughness. These principles easily apply to everyday life and can provide lifelong guidelines for our members.
